As the recent widower to a paramedic I can understand the tragic changes in your departments and the family's life. if there is anymore that I could possibly do in this great time of need please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail to the above address. Hi,
My name is Kevin Hutchison (hutch1522@firehousemail.com).   I read about Shane and it is so sad because you don't know what happened and he was still young kid. I am only 16 and i got a big life ahead of me. I am
with a volunteer fire dept in Lewistown Pennsylvania. Brooklyn hose co and Junction fire co. We are not that
busy but we have had 10 alarmers and lots of injuries in an october 2001 fire. over 65 fire companys were
called to the scene. MCIDC/mifflin county industrial development corporation) it used to the viscos which
made fabric. The building that burned was an axe factory , it was 52 hrs long and I was exhausted , I
was helping clean up and doing overhaul and filling air bottles all day and night long. A capt and
firefighter were rescued from that building, they got lost and could have been killed. They were from Brooklyn
hose co. Well thats my story. God bless Shane and I hope the chief and the other two guys heal up and get
better and back in to action.

Sincerely FF Kevin Hutchison

On behalf of the Hope Mills Fire Department, I would like to offer my condolences.  I have visited your department several times when I was considering going to Carson Newman back in 1999. I wonder now if some of those I met were among the injured. Be safe.

I would like to have our site added to your links, www.magnoliafire.org.  I am also saddened to hear of the passing of one of my brothers in the line of duty.  I know that the death was not in vain and we all work for the same goal; to protect the life and property of those we may or may not even know.  Time will ease our pain as God accepts another brother through the gates to join others who served him.

Thank you, God Bless
