to Jefferson City Fire Department's home on the web! We are a Class 3 fire and
rescue department, located in beautiful East Tennessee, about fifteen miles northeast of
Knoxville. Our department consists of career and paid-on-call firefighters,
operating out of one station, located at 112 West Broadway Boulevard. On the job
since 1909, we currently respond with six front line apparatus; Engine 1, Squad 1, Utility
1, Engine 4, Engine 6, and Truck 1. Along with traditional fire related calls, the
fire department also responds to all automobile accidents and priority one medical calls
in the city. We have an aggressive training program, certified by the State of
Tennessee Commission on Firefighting. Jefferson City firefighters attend various
training sessions and classes every year, both at home and at other participating
departments across the state. The department also maintains a progressive fire
safety and prevention program, conducting preplanning, inspections, and other events, such
as visits to local elementary schools. We hope you enjoy your visit to our
