| Parade Units The Jefferson City Fire Department currently maintains two
retired apparatus which are used exclusively in parades and other special events.
Engine 1, a 1937 Ford/Amercian LaFrance, was Jefferson City's first real fire
engine. Engine 3, a 1953 GMC, was the second bonified fire apparatus purchased by
the city. Although in good condition, both are in need of a full restoration and the
department hopes to make these funds available in the future.
